Disney 'not in the business of scaring kids

Summary

Disney's character Pascal has been recreated as a robot - though it's still in early development
PASCAL
Disney is preparing to use the new technologic knowledge to apply it to their storytelling by using robotics and AI (artificial intelligence). Jon Snoddy, the company's senior Vice President for research and development, told that soon we'll be able to interact with storytelling robots. He also says that AI and machine learning is very important for their job. Their goal is that the robot could move around the guests, which the robot could know where it is going...

Referring to Pascal, Disney has managed to build it as a robot. It's a terrific recreation of the digital character, as it says in the article. They go and do tests to try to understand kids' reactions and find whether if it's a good idea to bring robots to the parks or not.

My opinion
I think the idea of recreating digital characters is awesome. What most of the people want, me included, is seeing these characters in real life and if it's possible to interact with them. So I think, they must go on in this idea because all kids will be more excited to see them. Of course, the creation of this robots will absolutely favour the same Disney Company because lots of people would like to go and to see these new characters (in real life). In this way, they are going to improve their technologic system and also their economic system. I have never been to Disney Land but if they manage to build a robot that seems like the film one, I'd be the first one to buy one ticket to visit it. I'd like to see it because I love robotics and I'd like to work on this so... there is no excuse to go and see!!
